Celebrating Native Artistry

Are you an Indigenous artist in New Mexico ready to share your story and creativity? This upcoming exhibition, “Celebrating Native Artistry,” is seeking to feature the top 25 Native artists from across New Mexico, offering an incredible opportunity to showcase your work in a dynamic and immersive gallery experience. This exhibition will be held at Albuquerque Civic Plaza, Gallery One, from March to May 2026. 
 
This exhibition highlights the rich cultural heritage, contemporary expressions, and evolving narratives of Native communities through diverse themes:

    •    Cultural Heritage and Identity: Celebrate your roots and traditions.
    •    Modern Interpretations: Showcase how your work integrates contemporary influences into traditional art forms.
    •    Environmental Stewardship: Share your connection through sustainability to the natural world.
    •    Social Commentary: Use your art to address social issues and inspire resilience.

We’re seeking exceptional artists working in:
    •    Painting: Traditional and contemporary styles.
    •    Photography: Capturing Native life and modern perspectives.
    •    Native Clothing: Traditional garments with a modern twist into fashion.
    •    Sculpture: From traditional techniques to innovative designs.
    •    Native Dancers: Original dance pieces that bring movement and storytelling to life.​

•    Poetry: Speaking aloud to the audience who come to hear your story.

•    Short Films:  From documentary to experimental, narrative to animation- Your vision matters!​

You must be located in New Mexico and have reliable transportation to transport you and your artwork for set up and take down days. There is a $30 fee to participate in this two-month exhibition. All sales will be done through Art Off the Rails.
