"Warrior Mouse" by Dal’Suhu Not-Afraid

This work depicts the climax of a Hopi traditional story about “Tuusanhumi’ytsi” the Warrior Mouse. In this tale a small unlikely hero saved a Hopi village from famine brought upon by Monster Hawk. The hawk was killing everyone’s chickens which left the people without a steady source of food while the crops were waiting for their crops too produce. Just as the leaders were at their wits end, Tuusanhumi’ytsi offered himself as the solution, and declared war on the hawk.
