"What is Freedom" by Cherille Williams

What is Freedom is an art piece I created when thinking about today's government policies and the lack of resources for people who need them. Looking at the world around us, I thought back to all the people who fought for what little Freedom we still have left, and the price of life is too high to pay for with blood, sweat, and tears to buy eggs or pay bills. What is Freedom when women have no control over their bodies, and children must go to school with limited resources to learn about the history of the United States or the idea of wanting to love someone is being policed, with everyone living under the threat of dying because we live under a government corporation.
